Ok, this one really hit home. I'm a transplanted Yankee living in Tuscaloosa, AL and commuting every day sixty miles to Birmingham (It was Ivan btw that hit Gulf Shores). There are some really great restaurants in Birmingham and some great local cuisine that I highly enjoy. If you want to treat your Mother-In-Law to some typical southern cooking you may want to order up some bbq sauce from Dreamland and smoke some ribs.
